Preflight Checklist

Use this list to check for any potential issues in your files.

Page Specifications

• Document page size set to final trim size
• Page count correct
• Blank pages included as needed

Layout Content

• Bleeds (1/8 inch minimum, if any)
• Fold panel sizes (contact us for information & templates)
• Perfect bound & coil books need bleed in the spine (minimum 3/16”)
• Special bindery elements (die lines, scores, folds?)

Ink Specifications

• CMYK and/or Spot colors are preferred over RGB
• Spot colors named the same across files
• No Registration Black used
• Convert CMYK black to K only, or Rich Black
• Rich Black set to C=40, M=30, Y=30, K=100
• Die lines set to spot color & overprint

Images

• All images supplied
• Links in documents are updated
• Resolution (300dpi recommended for images, minimum 150 dpi.
  1200 dpi recommended for bitmaps, minimum 600 dpi)
• Overall Image clarity

Fonts and Text

• All fonts supplied.
• Text boxes or images too close to trim?
• Check for text reflow if changes were made
